Most of these pictures were taken at the National Bison Range north of Missoula, Montana. Finding the bears is easy if you follow one simple rule: find the berries, find the bears. Having cleared the mountains of huckleberries in August, the bears descend in September to forage on hawthorn and service berries as well as anything else they can find in the gullies along Mission Creek and Pauline Creek.
